Boney Mountain, or Boney Peak, located in the 15,000 acre Point Mugu State Park, is the highest peak in the western Santa Monica Mountains reaching 2,825 feet. It is located directly south of Newbury Park in Ventura County and is clearly visible from the entire area. Boney Mountain is located to the west of Conejo Peak and Sandstone Peak, and south of Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwina which is the primary access area to Boney Mountain. There are excellent views of Thousand Oaks and the surrounding mountains and hills from Boney Mountain Peak.
