Real Estate Broker Requirement

Real estate brokers in California are required to provide Workers’ Compensation Insurance for all licensed real estate agents whether they are working full-time or part-time. While licensed agents are usually independent contractors, California requires brokers to provide such insurance. Failure to do so is a violation of the law. The penalties are severe.
