Home Inspection Reports

A home inspection is a-limited, non-invasive inspection of a home, usually made in connection with the sale of the home being inspected. Upon completion, the inspector prepares and delivers a written report, including photos, to his or her client. The client may be the buyer or seller. Upon receipt of the report, the client can make a better informed decision about buying or selling the property. A home inspection report is not an appraisal that estimates the fair market value of the home. Many, but not all, home inspectors are licensed general contractors.
