Hidden Hills

Hidden Hills is both an incorporated city and gated equestrian community located at the far west end of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, and north of Calabasas. It is one of the most affluent cities in the United States. The community is approximately 1.7 square miles and is next to the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, formerly known as Ahmanson Ranch. Agoura Hills is approximately ten miles to the southwest.

 

Hidden Hills Community Association

The Hidden Hills Community Association (HHCA) is responsible for reviewing and approving all construction and architectural modifications to the 648 home sites within Hidden Hills. The association is also responsible for maintaining all of the common areas which includes 25 miles of horse trails, six miles of streets, three guard houses, 3 riding arenas, a recreation center, competition sized swimming pool, four tennis courts, and 99 seat performing arts theater. The HHCA is governed by an elected seven person board of directors.

 

Las Virgenes - Malibu

Council of Governments

The Las Virgenes - Malibu Council of Governments (COG) is comprised of the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, and Westlake Village. COG was established by its members to provide a vehicle for members to engage in regional and cooperative planning and coordination of government services and responsibilities. The members from the five cities meet monthly.

 

Neighborhood Council Meetings

There are currently 99 Neighborhood Councils in the City of Los Angeles, each serving an average of 40,000 people. A Neighborhood Council is an advisory body that advocates for their community on important issues affecting their neighborhood. Each council has a budget funded by taxpayer dollars. Board members are elected every two years. Each council meets monthly, where residents may express their concerns and make recommendations. Additional information is on the Los Angeles City website.
