Channel Islands Harbor is a small craft harbor in Oxnard, Ventura County developed in 1960. It opens into the Santa Barbara Channel which is part of the Pacific Ocean. The harbor supports nearly 2,600 vessels, four yacht clubs, and nine full service marinas. Channel Islands Harbor is the fifth largest harbor for small boats in the state of California and is a frequent departure point for visitors to the Channel Islands and Channel Islands National Park. The harbor has become a waterfront resort with dining, shopping, boat charters, whale watching, and more. It is a beautiful place to visit.  Channel Islands Harbor is home to the Elite Theatre Company.

Channel Islands Maritime Museum

The Channel Islands Maritime Museum, at the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, has constantly changing exhibitions including numerous ship models and world class maritime art. Memberships are available and there is a great gift shop where unique items can be found.

 

Channel Islands Sportfishing

Channel Islands Sportfishing, located at the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, offers deep sea fishing off the Ventura-Oxnard coast utilizing 13 fishing boats. Fishing trips are scheduled for ½ days, ¾ days, overnight, two days, and 3 days. Private charters and whale watching tours are also available.

 

Channel Islands Yacht Club

The Channel Island Harbor in Ventura County has been home to the Channel Islands Yacht Club (CIYC) since 1960. The club has an authorized membership of 400 members and 150 boats. Activities include racing, cruising, fishing, and an active social program. Members enjoy reciprocal privileges with more than 80 other yacht clubs across the United States and Canada.

The Yacht Club at Channel Islands Harbor is a new, full service, private yacht club offering many boating and social activities. Included is a full service restaurant and bar.

 

Anacapa Yacht Club

The Channel Island Harbor in Oxnard has been home to the Anacapa Yacht Club since 1967. The primary focus of the club is racing, but it has an active social program which includes dinners, holiday parties, and more. As a member of the Southern California Yachting Association, members enjoy reciprocal privileges with numerous other yacht clubs across the United States.

 

Peninsula Park - Channel Islands Harbor

Concerts in the Park

Peninsula Park is a small neighborhood park located near the south end of Peninsula Road in the Channel Islands Harbor. It is a beautiful park and an excellent location for viewing pleasure boats entering and leaving the Channel Islands Harbor. It is also the site for Concerts in the Park which is a free summer concert series sponsored by the city of Oxnard each year.
